Welcome to the Curtain Call Blog.  I hope that my readers will find information that helps them to choose window treatments that meet their needs, both functionally and aesthetically so that they spend their hard earned money wisely and are happy with the results.  Decorating, whether it's choosing window treatments, rugs, wall coverings, furniture, etc. should be fun.  While many of my clients tell me me that they don't know where to start, I've discovered that all of them know what they like.  It's your house, and while it's good to know the prevailing trends in decorating it's always important to do what you like and what's going to work in your home. 

 

So this is how the Curtain Call Blog will work; I will post something from Window Treatments 101. This is a presentation that I've given in the past that explains how to choose window treatments.  I'll alternate this with specific tips (we don't to get too dry here), such as a decorating idea, a trend in decorating, child safety, and new products.

 

Here's a tip:  for a while it was popular to puddle draperies (have a few inches that gather) on the floor.  It can look very nice, but if your golden retriever has the run of the house, like ours does; it probably isn't a good idea.
